Hit "refresh" repeatedly

I do not see my political poetry as an effort to convince the reader of anything or to win him or her over to a point of view.

Rather, a poem such as "To the Destroyers of Ballots" is a testimony, an articulation of evidence, as in Thoreau's writings about John Brown.

Secondly, and as I suggested earlier, it is written to refresh the courage of the good.

The rats indeed have "moved in mostly," but we are not rats, and we are not alone.
